Minimum 5 years track record in pipeline and subsea design within Project Teams:
Duties
Technical: The ability to provide first class engineering in one or more of the following fields:
Supervision: Responsible for the supervision and technical direction of Enginers on various tasks, as directed by the Lead Engineer and Project Manager.
Quality: Ensuring the work is performed in accordance with the Company Quality Procedures.
HSE: To maintain awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental issues, in relation to design, construction, installation and operations in undertaking the work.
Client Interfacing: To liaise with clients, when required, on a technical level, to ensure their needs are being met.
Business Awareness: The ability to identify with the Business Stream strategy and core competencies and convey to internal and external clients.
Proposals: To assist where necessary, by providing technical support, Business Stream Management in preparing Proposals.
Qualifications
Good first degree (Upper Second) in an Engineering Discipline.
Post-graduate qualification in a related discipline is desirable, although not a pre-requisite.
Required Experience/Knowledge
Minimum 5 years track record in pipeline and subsea design within Project Teams
Demonstrable ability to deliver efficient analytical solutions to engineering design tasks
Specific knowledge of subsea pipelines and equipment
Knowledge of the relevant National and International Standards and Codes of Practice
Supervisory experience of engineering personnel advantageous.
Computer/Other Skills
High computer literacy with MS Office, MathCAD, FE Analysis and other technical analysis packages.
Knowledge of Pipesim and Autopipe would be desirable.
Other Considerations
Must be confident, with good written and oral communications skills.
Must have ability to work effectively under pressure.
Must be self motivated and have the ability to motivate others.
