Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities:

To create, check and approve project deliverables.

Client interfacing – to liaise with clients on all levels (technical, commercial, project planning and deliverables) and to ensure their needs are being met. Also ensure the free flow of information both to and from the client to enable the project to be completed within budget and on schedule.

Planning – preparation and the upkeep of project schedules to plan and track projects in accordance with Company procedures and client requirements.

Contractual undertakings – in association with the Commercial Manager, review and ensure compliance with contractual obligations associated with a project or tender.

Leadership – create and maintain effective working relationships with the project team. Provide leadership, guidance, direction and control to the team members.

Quality – ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the Company Quality Policy and procedures.

Health, Safety & Environment – take reasonable care of own safety and that of others. Work in accordance with training and instruction provided, reporting any shortfalls in control systems. Adhere to the requirements of the Company Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and report all incidents and accidents without delay.

Business development – identify and bring to Business Stream Management opportunities to develop business within or beyond assigned projects.

Proposals – assist Business Stream Management in preparing proposals.

Cost control – full cost control responsibility for establishing and maintaining CTR’s, monitoring and control of actual project costs and hours and early identification of project variations and raising of variation orders.

Financial performance and reporting – responsible for the delivery and reporting of project financial performance within Business Stream specified targets and timescales.

Qualifications:

Good first degree (Upper Second) in an Engineering Discipline is desirable.

Post-graduate qualification in a related discipline is desirable, although not a pre-requisite.

Required Experience/Knowledge:

Extensive experience in the oil and gas sector.

Demonstrable track record in project management leading multi-discipline engineering teams.

A fundamental understanding of the key subjects of safety, quality, cost control and client satisfaction.

Broad knowledge of subsea pipelines and equipment.
