Richmond Office’s Responsible Person on a day-to-day basis;

Corporate QHSE Manager for technical leadership and development.

JOB PURPOSE:        

To support the Director in his day-to-day duties for maintaining the business management systems in meeting the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 in Richmond, and for implementing the comparable management systems in Paris, Athens and Tripoli.

To manage the QHSE requirements for maintaining the office’s facilities which includes undertaking risk assessments, conducting workplace inspections and providing local training.

To provide QHSE advice and support to the Office’s Projects and conduct internal and external audits as required.

The post-holder will be required to undertake a significant amount of travelling and will be required to work away from home for short periods of time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties, consistent with the post-holder’s skills and competencies, may be assigned:

  1. Conduct Corporate and Project QHSE audits.
  2. Act as the focal point for project-related advice and guidance on QHSE matters and provide support to Project Managers where required.
  3. Undertake workplace risk assessments and inspections at the Richmond office and manage any remedial action.
  4. Review and agree Contractor’s risk assessment and method statement for working at the Richmond office.
  5. Manage records for legal compliance with DSER, FAWR, LOLER, RRO, Asbestos and Legionella.
  6. Undertake project Inter-Discipline Checks as required.
  7. Develop and maintain Corporate QHSE procedures.
  8. Review and develop QHSE competence standards and individual competence across the Group of companies.
  9. Monitor changes to legislation and assess the impact on the business.
  10. Review and analyse data from audits, accident investigations, near misses, concessions, defect reports and customer complaints to identify adverse trends and implement preventive action.
  11. Identify and facilitate continuous improvement opportunities and monitor progress.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

Extensive experience of developing and maintaining management systems for quality, health & safety and environment.
