Mexican state oil company PEMEX E&P subsidiary PEP has awarded a $1.3 billion 10-year contract for the maintenance of its offshore transport system in the Tabasco and Campeche areas of the Gulf of Mexico
Penspen, the UK-based pipeline engineering and integrity consultant, and its subsidiary GreyStar Corporation, the Field Services Operations and Maintenance provider based in Houston, are members of the winning consortium along with Mexican companies Grupo Diavaz and Mexssub.
The tendered “System 1”, oil transportation infrastructure consists of 116 pipelines, the Cayo Arcas offshore facility, the Dos Bocas maritime terminal and Rebombeo pumping complex.
The work is scheduled to begin May 4, 2009.
