Metering Station, Dehydration Facilities and Building Installation for Natural Gas Transmission System

The Project was to construct the fiscal metering station to be used by both the supplier (Russia) and the user (Greece) for the measurement, recording and control of quantity and quality of gas to be supplied at the Bulgarian border into Greece's Natural Gas Transmission System.

The equipment included inlet filters, meters, chromatographs and other analysers, heaters and boilers, pressure control valves, pipe and valves, electrical equipment including 20KV and 415V switchboards, standby diesel generation and transformers plus all controls necessary to operate these facilities. The buildings included a warehouse, administration, metering, analyser and equipment buildings and a guardhouse.

The design and detailed engineering was required to progress from preliminary process data and suggested layouts and includes full performance guarantees. Metering accuracy requirements were particularly stringent. The station capacity will be 655,500 Nm3/hr.
