The Dubai Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) will construct a new airport at Jebel Ali with a 2060 target capacity of 120 million passengers and 12 million tonnes of cargo annually.
The airport will be integrated with a city development, Jebel Ali Airport City, which will become a hub for aviation, business, tourism and public recreation. The Jebel Ali Airport (JXB) will be developed in a phased manner as passenger and cargo volumes increase over time. The existing Dubai International Airport (DXB) will continue to operate.
