What is an electrolyser?

Electrolysis is a promising process for the carbon-free green hydrogen production powered by renewable energy resources. Electrolysis is the process of splitting water to produce hydrogen (at cathode) and oxygen (at anode) using electricity. This reaction takes place in a unit called an electrolyser.

The objective of a risk-based inspection is to move from reactive to proactive maintenance that produces an optimised and cost-effective inspection and maintenance regime that limits the operational risk to As Low as Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) level. RBI also standardises risk across all of the equipment, optimise inspection, create an auditable trail, and enable continuous improvement by monitoring all mitigation measures, and anomalous findings.
