This course will present the theory and application for the assessment of defects such as corrosion, gouges, dents, cracks and weld defects, including repairs.
In addition, this course will provide an introduction to hydrogen as associated with pipeline defects.

-To present methods available to assess the significance of defects detected in onshore and offshore pipelines.
-To introduce fracture mechanics and fatigue and introduces fundamental analytical methods used to assess pipeline defects.
