A Day In the Life Of a Technical Manager

In our new ‘Day in the Life’, we speak to Camilo Torres, a Technical Manager based in Bogota, Colombia. 

Hi Camilo, please could you explain what your role is within Penspen? 

I am the Technical Manager and Integrity Specialist at Penspen. I support the Integrity and Asset Management contracts in Colombia and the LATAM region.  

What value does your role bring to our clients?

The aim with clients is to weigh up the needs and opportunities they have in order to propose solutions and quick response to their business needs.   

I try to provide more than one alternative solution to clients, so that they can choose one that suits them better. Once the team has the final assessment or deliverable, the focus then shifts to providing technical and decision-making support to the client.   

What is the most interesting part of your role? 

In my role, I am the link between the client and the assessment team, but I also help to manage resources and time effectively. I enjoy assisting in this process and coaching members of the evaluation team. It is a rewarding challenge for me.
